QC Testing

Most manufacturing industries require a uniform product quality. To ensure that this requirement is met, both raw materials and finished products are often subjected to chemical analysis. On the one hand, the necessary constituents must be kept at optimum levels, while on the other, impurities must be kept below maximum allowable concentrations. The diverse range of techniques employed by Butterworth has allowed them to provide Quality Control (QC) testing to a wide range of industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to engineering.

Butterworth have been inspected by the UK MHRA for compliance with GMP regulations (EU Directive 91/356/EC) and is approved as a contract acceptor for Quality Control laboratory services on product licences. For release of pharmaceutical products to the EU market, GMP regulations require that the product be tested to demonstrate compliance with specification. Butterworth can provide this testing service.

Testing of pharmaceutical raw materials to international pharmacopoeia specifications has become a speciality of the laboratory. With our knowledge of classical wet chemistry and range of instrumental techniques, we believe that we can undertake the vast majority of the chemical tests listed within the pharmacopoeia monographs.
