With the costs of litigation and scientific expertise on the increase, many companies and organisations are forced to consider ways of limiting unnecessary expenditure. Where both or all parties are looking for chemical analysis to assist in resolving this dispute, appointing a single laboratory to perform the analysis is an ideal way of reducing the costs.

The independence of Butterworth Laboratories, together with our levels of Quality Assurance, have enabled us to acquire extensive experience in this area. Since the analytical staff at Butterworth are not registered as Expert Witnesses, they do not get involved with the interpretation of the results. Our service is to provide reliable scientific data for the experts from either side to interpret.

Alternatively, our reputation for independent analysis has been recognised by companies confirming results obtained in-house for example, before challenging a supplier or government agency.
