With the costs of litigation and scientific expertise on the increase, many companies and organizations are forced to consider ways of limiting unnecessary expenditure. Where both or all parties are looking for chemical analysis to assist in resolving this dispute, appointing a single laboratory to perform the analysis is an ideal way of reducing the costs.

The independence of Butterworth Laboratories, together with our levels of Quality Assurance, have enabled us to acquire extensive experience in this area. However, the analytical staff at Butterworth do not act as Expert Witnesses, they do not get involved with the interpretation of the results as they apply to a particular matrix, but restrict their comments to the analytical procedures performed. Our service is to provide reliable scientific data for the experts from either side to interpret.
