UKAS (ISO 17025)

Butterworth have been Accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) since it’s formation in 1983. In 1999 this changed from Accrediting to its own Standard M10 to the internationally recognised ISO17025 standard – General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

The “management system requirements” in ISO17025 (Section 4) are written in a language relevant to laboratory operations and meet the principles of ISO 9001 “Quality Management Systems – Requirements” and are aligned with its pertinent requirements.
