At Butterworth Laboratories we pride ourselves on being able to undertake a large variety of analysis requests, even the non-routine analysis request, using our expertise as analytical chemists to develop and validate the new methodology required.

If you're a consulting engineer, property developer, local authority, construction company, water company or environmental consultant of any size, our facilities are ideal for the analysis of your non-routine samples. On many occasions Butterworth have acted as an independent laboratory in the case of disputes between different parties.

If you're an environmental consultant or occupational hygienist, we can undertake the analysis of stack monitoring and work place atmospheric monitoring samples in conjunction with you.

An area we have established a niche area of expertise in, is the analysis of ozone depleting substances, such as CFC's resulting from the recycling of fire extinguishers, fridges and freezers. As these substances are now banned under the Montreal Protocol, we have the necessary EU Licence to handle these products. As a result of this work we are now looking at the effect the new European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive will have for the analysis from the recycling industry.
